Messed Up Post Numbers

I have discovered that, in the course of exporting and importing my blog contents, the page id numbers have gotten a bit screwed up. This won’t matter to those of you visiting for the first time. It will, however, possibly be a problem for anyone who has linked to one of my posts.

Please double-check your link to be sure it still goes where you expect it to.

If it doesn’t, you should be able to pretty easily locate the post you’re looking for by doing a search on my blog — just over there to the right. Once you have the new URL, you can exchange it for the old one on your own site.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for linking to me!

  1. So, besides getting the fun of reinstallation and hoping all your posts survive, what is new in WordPress 2.6? Anything you think you’ll make use of?

  3. Oh, sure… the “Press This” javascript applet is more user-friendly than it used to be, for sure. Widgets are built-in now if you’re a widget person. The “Categories” and “Archives” widgets for the sidebar now allow you to display that info with a drop-down list — which is nice.

Overall, the look-and-feel of the software is sleeker.
