Stupid Email from Democrats.com

Our longtime progressive champion, Senator Ted Kennedy, made a dramatic return to the Senate on Wednesday to cast the deciding vote on a crucial Medicare bill. (That’s his niece Caroline Kennedy with him.)

Sadly, George Bush wants to veto the bill. For Kennedy’s sake, let’s try to stop him.

Say what??

I don’t know anything about the Medicare bill, but if I were going to try to stop Bush from vetoing it, it would be because the bill is worthwhile. It wouldn’t be for Kennedy’s sake.

What a really stupid tactic on the part of Democrats.com. Sorry to say, there are probably plenty of people who base their political opinions on the personality or fame of the person doing the talking — but is that really the kind of people you want to appeal to?

Heh…maybe.

Argh.
